Display Boards

I just wanted to share a few cards from the display boards at our regional event a couple of weeks ago.  I really enjoyed seeing all of the displays and while I knew we would get pictures of all of the cards, I took a few pics of some cards that caught my eye, like this pretty dress card!
Another way to do the paneled card.
Love what this person did with the Moving Forward set.
And another pretty dress card!!!

Out with the Old and In with the New!

Introducing the beautiful 2013-2015 In-colors!  I am MADLY in love with all five of them!!  Starting from the brown color on the bottom and bouncing around in order, they are Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantelope, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, and Coastal Cabana.  So super pretty!!

I used two retiring stamp sets to make this card:  Printed Petals (my favorite flower set until I bought Stippled Blossoms) and Pursuit of Happiness.  All retiring stamp sets are guaranteed to be around until June 3rd, but accessories are while supplies last, so don't hesitate to order that ribbon or punch you've been eyeballing before it's gone!!

Retirment Lists--One week down!

We are almost one week into the retirement lists going live and lots of stuff is flying off the shelves!  Much of the cardstock is gone, as well as reinkers and some of the crayons.  Act fast to get your favorites before they leave forever!

Here's a cute little card with some retiring designer series paper, Comfort Cafe.  I think this was my favorite paper in the catalog this year!  I love fall color combos the best, so I really liked this one.  I got this in a swap at our regional and it was made by Cathy Sountag.  (Hope that last name is correct--I can't read my own handwriting!!)
This lovely card made by Sarah Simon features a retiring stamp set, Bordering on Romance.  I love how prettily it stamped!

So get on over to my shopping site and pick up your favorite retiring stamps and accessories before it's too late!  And if you will, please use hostess code RJMMGBSE when you check out.  Remember that when you spend $30 or more, you will receive a sneak peek list of my rubber rummage and be able to pre-shop the sale!

Retirement List is Live!!!

It's that time again:  retirement lists!!!  Hundreds of stamp sets and accessories will be retired on June 3rd, including Morning Cup, one of my favorites!  Isn't this a cute card?  I made it at the regional this past weekend and did not write down the name of the designer, so if someone remembers let me know and I will give them credit!

All stamp sets are guaranteed to be available through June 3rd, but the accessories are on a "while supplies last" basis.  To see the entire list, click on my shop button and then view the retiring products.  Some are even discounted!

Place an order of $30 or more between now and June 3rd and I will send you a list via email of my rubber rummage items the night before.  You can preshop my rummage!  How's that for a great deal?  Use hostess code RJMMGBSE if you shop online.

And until the retirement occurs, I will be showcasing cards made with the retiring products, so you will still have lots of ideas with these great sets!

Now get shopping!!

Make 'n Take Dress

I volunteered to bring on of the make 'n takes to our homegrown regional this past weekend and the above card is what I came up with.  The focal point is made using the dress framelits from the spring mini and I used the sneak peek This and That designer series paper for the dress itself.  I love these dress framelits and can't wait to play with them some more!

My dear hubby figured out how to tie the fabric on to make a scarf for the dress.  And see that tape in the corners?  That is washi tape!  Yup, Stampin' Up now carries washi tape...or will in the next catalog, anyway.  The above tape is part of the sneak peek bundle of products that you can get your hands on this month, then they go into hibernation until the catalog goes live on May 31st!

And check back tomorrow to see the list of products retiring from the current catalog!

The Morphing of a Swap Card

Believe it or not, this swap card started out as a flower card with Natural Designer Series Paper behind it!  It came quite a long way, didn't it??

I created this card as a swap for the organized swap at our own home-grown Wisconsin regional this past weekend.  Stampin Up did not have a regional event near enough for most of us to attend, so we put together our own huge demo meeting instead!  We had ladies from all over Wisconsin and Minnesota attend and it was a blast!  There were tons of make 'n takes, swaps, display boards, presentations, and all kinds of fun!

I had fun making this guy card with the Words of Courage stamp set.  I embossed the Real Red mat with the striped embossing folder and then layered pennants made from fabric, cardstock, and ribbon.  Super fun to make and I got loads of cute cards in return, which I will be sharing tomorrow.

Masculine Monday - The Open Sea

Happy Monday!  Today and every Monday until I get bored with the idea, I will be posting a guy card.  Sound good?  I thought I'd go with some themed days to help me get more ideas into YOUR stamp room and help keep me challenged.

We made the above card at a class I held on Friday night with about 25 brand new stampers, ages 7-50ish.  Kind of a crazy night, but it was a lot of fun!  I needed to keep the cards super simple and this one fit the bill.  I used River Rock for the card base and Not Quite Navy for the other color to balance.  The stamp set is The Open Sea, my favorite masculine set.  The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes, another favorite.

River Rock and Not Quite Navy are retiring this year, so if you need to stock up, TODAY is the day to do that!  Today is the last day of the free shipping offer.  You can contact me directly to order or order online by clicking on my shopping button.  Please use hostess code 9ET29NCY when you check out.  And hurry--almost all of the retiring ink refills are already gone...the paper and ink pads won't be too far behind!
